Kim Stuckens

Owner/Founder/Trainer

Kim grew up in Green Hills, Ohio and has been in love with horses as long as she can remember. Born into a non-horse family, she started riding at 10 with Childress Rodgers and Dawn Corhorn near her hometown. When Kim turned 17, she moved to Florida and began work developing young horses, teaching lessons and showing for Laurie Dickerson.

While in her 20s and 30s, Kim lived all over the country working for widely respected professionals such as Canadian Olympic Team riders Alana Featherstone, Victor Hugho Vidal, Duncan McFarlane and many others.

Eventually, Kim moved to Washington to start a family and founded Magnolia Ridge Training Center in 1992. Since then, Kim has developed countless champions, from the Walk/Trot to the Junior Hunters, to the 3'6" Equitation to the Child/AA Jumpers. Kim models her coaching style after the country's finest horsemen. She has strong connections with trainers all over the globe to ensure she brings the most dynamic teaching styles to her students. Many of her students carry her priorities of strong horsemanship throughout their entire lives and go on to become veterinarians, Grand Prix riders and even trainers.

Trainer

Jacque Stuckens

Born in California but raised in Washington, Jacque has been part of the West Coast Hunter/Jumper community for as long as she has been in the saddle.

Starting early with her mother, Kim, provided Jacque with a wide variety of riding experiences. From her first competition at Marymoor Park at age three, to regional finals in Washington and California, and ultimately to national finals in Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and New York - as a child, teenager, and adult - Jacque incorporates the education from all these experiences into her training and coaching. She has studied under local legends such as John Turner and Shelley Campf, as well as nationally recognized equestrians like Peter Leone (Olympic Silver Medalist) and National Show Jumping Hall of Famer Bernie Traurig.

After graduating from Central Washington University in 2015 with a degree in Public Relations, Jacque joined her mother at Magnolia Ridge. Since then, the business has developed into a boutique hunter/jumper program, known for its emphasis on love for the horse.

Jacque's attention to correct equitation and emphasis on horsemanship ensures success for her riders and horses in any arena. She also believes in carefully catering to each individual horse's specific needs and truly enjoys bringing out the best in each equestrian athlete she trains.
